Frequently Asked Questions...
question about rotary cutters....?
i was using my rotary cutter to cut some fabric today.....and literally one second it's cutting fine and the next it won't cut at all
.....i wasn't doing anything differently either
i can't see anything wrong with the cutter or blade...
did the blade just suddenly go dull?
is it normal for a dull blade to work great one minute and not work AT ALL the next??
thanks
Answer:
Try loosening the nut that holds the blade in place. If it's too tight, the blade can't turn and it won't cut. If that doesn't fix it, then replace it with a fresh blade to see if the blade's dullness is the issue.
If you nicked the blade, even a nick that's too small for you even to see, it also will affect the rotary cutter's ability to cut.
